New Appointments Announced By Off-Site Construction Specialists, Excel Group

Excel Group has announced two new appointments. Assuming the role of Sales & Project Coordinator within Excel Facades is Tara Soul, whilst Lewis Betty takes up the position of Project Manager with Excel Structures.

Having recently taken the decision to create a group operating structure for its business, specialist off-site building solutions provider, Bedfordshire-based Excel, has announced two new appointments.

Joining Excel Structures - responsible for delivering a range of four off-site building systems - is Project Manager, Lewis Betty, whilst Tara Soul assumes the role of Sales & Project Coordinator within Excel Facades – the division that focuses on the provision of a wide range of world class, high performance windows and doors.

Reporting directly to Excel Group Managing Director, Jason Pritchard, Tara and Lewis will assume responsibility for helping steer the future direction of their respective group divisions, whilst effectively managing day-to-day projects in order to deliver projected growth targets.

As Jason comments: “We are really excited to have Tara and Lewis onboard at Excel and are confident that they will help play a significant part in helping Excel Structures and Excel Facades realise the future growth potential that exists across each division. Both individuals are highly experienced in their respective fields and have the inter-personal skills to support the Excel Group philosophy in providing a single point of contact from initial enquiry through to project completion. Indeed it is a relationship strategy that is seen as fundamental when it comes to ensuring clients receive the highest quality, most reliable and best value solution.”

With five years’ project management experience and nine years in the construction industry, Lewis will support excel Structures’ provision of four, complete off-site framed building systems - SIPS (Structural Insulated Panels), Light Gauge Steel Frame, pre-insulated timber frame and CLT (Cross Laminated Timber). Targeting self-builders, custom builders, contractors and developers, he will ensure all can gain access to a comprehensive design, supply and installation solution based on parameters such as system suitability, fabric performance requirement, budget and customer preference.

Having previously worked in the education, commercial and housebuilding sectors, Lewis is experienced in overseeing the execution of medium and large build projects both nationally and internationally, ranging from new home build, retail, hospital refurbishment and rebuild.

As Lewis said: “I’m delighted to have been given the opportunity to join Excel Structures at what is an extremely exciting time, not only in terms of the group’s development, but for the low carbon, off-site construction sector per se. I’m particularly looking forward to adopting Excel Structures’ ideology of delivering homes and buildings that are not only highly-energy efficient but which have minimum impact on the environment.”

As Sales & Project Coordinator with Excel Facades, Tara brings extensive customer service and client facing managerial experience that she has built up over the last 10 years having worked in the automotive, plastics and, more latterly, the building products sector.

Working closely with Excel Facades’ industry leading supply partners, such as: Velfac®, Solarlux®, Rationel®, and Origin, Tara will help build on the division’s acclaim for the provision of both traditional and contemporary window and door solutions. Whether standalone or as an integral part of a build system, all exhibit world-class performance in terms of thermal and acoustic characteristics and exceptional exceptional security protection. She will work in close cooperation with self-builders, contractors and developers in delivering a suite of aluminium and alu-clad timber windows and doors that serve to accentuate and complement the architectural design adopted for any specific project or development.

Commenting on her new position, Tara said: “Being able to offer clients access to the highest quality and most efficient window and door solutions is already proving to be extremely rewarding. And to be operating within a structure where low carbon, environment friendly and sustainability are the cornerstones of the group’s ethos simply adds to the appeal.”
